Russia and Hollywood Launch US Presidents’ Assassination Movies

Russia and Hollywood produce separately two films about dramatic episodes in the life of two US presidents – Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy.

MOSCOW —  Pre-production of the movie is started about an assassination attempts against Ronald Reagan in Russia, when the 40th President of the United States and his wife Nancy arrived for Moscow summit with Michael Gorbachev.

Moscow-based Film-Media/Russian Film Commission will co-produce this historic action with international partners and film stars. The film is based on eye-opening documents, which were recently declassified.

HOLLYWOOD — Leonardo DiCaprio announced he will produce and star in a drama about John F. Kennedy’s assassination, www.newsinfilm.com reports. DiCaprio, would play FBI informant, who obtained the confession of Mafia godfather Carlos Marcello to having ordered the 1963 hit on the 35th U.S. President. Marcello’s crime organization was a battle with the Kennedy family.

The film is based on the non-fiction book Legacy of Secrecy: The Long Shadow of the JFK Assassination co-authored by Lamar Waldron and Thom Hartmann. The book contains unique recently declassified documents from the National Archive.

The 35th U.S. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, TX forty-seven years ago, as he was driven in an open limousine in a motorcade through Dallas with his wife, Jacqueline, and Texas Major.

The reason for this assassination and who were behind it is still a big mystery.
